Privacy
Effective June 1, 2026
AccountingMD respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it and how we protect it. We follow Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information you give us through our contact and health check forms or by email: your name, email address, phone number, business name and details about your business and bookkeeping needs.
Basic website information, such as pages visited and the type of browser you use, collected through Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies, which you can block in your browser settings.
We use your information to reply to your inquiry, book your health check, prepare a proposal and provide the services you sign up for. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
We only share your information with service providers that help us run our business, such as our website host, email provider and accounting software, and only as needed to serve you. We may also share it when the law requires us to.
Our team works in Canada, and we store data in Canada wherever possible. Some third-party apps we use may store information outside Canada, including in the United States. We use reasonable safeguards, including password-protected accounts and limited access, to protect your information.
We keep inquiry information only as long as we need it to respond and follow up. Client records are kept as long as required for our services and by law.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to further contact at any time.
